Year 5 have been learning about measures. We discussed the difference between the volume and capacity and then estimated the capacity of different containers. We used a litre measuring jug to help us with our estimations.
After we estimated the different containers, we then measured with water in the playground. We practised our scale reading skills so we could measure accurately to find their capacities.
Finally, we calculated the difference between our estimated and actual capacities and discussed what we found.
