Year 3 Trip to Synagogue

Year 3 visited South London Liberal Synagogue to learn more about Jewish festivals and the Torah. It was great fun and we even got to try kippas and tallits! Kippas are skullcaps worn at all times by Jewish people and tallits are prayer shawls. Did you know that tallits have special twined and knotted fringes known as tzitzit attached to their four corners? Everyone agreed that tzitzit is our new favourite Hebrew word!
