Year 4 have been thinking about chemistry in science week and various fairy tale potions. We learnt about effective ways to dissolve substances in a liquid (stir it into a hot liquid!) and how to distill salt from water. We also looked at finding out which was our dominant side through a series of tests because villains are always in control of themselves! We were also lucky enough to see a science workshop from Mother Nature Science who showed us how to create fog from dry ice – which is very useful for both making sinister potions and adding atmosphere to our lairs.
