Y6 Crafternoon

We had Crafternoon today where we made snowflakes for the hall and some Christmas Tree decorations to sell and the Christmas bazaar. A lot of them are still a work in progress (sewing takes a lot of concentration!) but we had fun!

Y3 Bollywood dancing

  Year three took part in a Bollywood workshop as part of our interfaith week. We talked about Hindu festivals such as Diwali and discussed the story of Rama and Sita. Then we learnt some new Indian dance moves and tried them out in a dance routine.

Interfaith visitor in Y4

Today, Year Four were joined in class by the Imam and friends from Stockwell Green Muslim Centre. We asked lots of interesting questions and learned a lot about the Islamic faith and how it started. We got to look at artifacts and found that the Imam has to know the Qur’an off by heart!

Year 4 at The British Library

Today, we were lucky enough to see the Harry Potter exhibition at The British Library. It was exciting and we learned lots. We thought about creating potions and our own unique creatures, like Octocorn and Unidragon.   Here are a few photos of us enjoying the exhibition!

Making Mosaics

Today in class we made mosaics inspired by the Greeks and the Romans. We used different coloured tiles to create our initial. We did find it tricky if we had a name beginning with S, K or J but we tried our best. Here is what we did.

Year 6 make chocolate fridge cake

Today Year 6 made chocolate fridge cake in the portakabin kitchen. We thought about what ingredients we might put in to vary our cakes. Some of us used chilli powder, others used marshmallows and a few of us included raisins. They were tasty and we enjoyed eating them at the end of lunchtime!
