Making Mosaics

Today in class we made mosaics inspired by the Greeks and the Romans. We used different coloured tiles to create our initial. We did find it tricky if we had a name beginning with S, K or J but we tried our best. Here is what we did.

Year 6 make chocolate fridge cake

Today Year 6 made chocolate fridge cake in the portakabin kitchen. We thought about what ingredients we might put in to vary our cakes. Some of us used chilli powder, others used marshmallows and a few of us included raisins. They were tasty and we enjoyed eating them at the end of lunchtime!

Lemon Electricity!

This week we had fun trying to see whether we can illuminate a light bulb using either a potato or a lemon.   We needed to create a chemical reaction, like what happens in a battery. Unfortunately, they didn’t work but we know that lemons clean dirty coins!
