Year 6 Maths Week

Year 6 are looking at geometry for maths week. So far we have tested Euler’s formula that “faces + vertices – edges = 2” and taken part in a problem solving workshop with The Problem Solving Company. The cube was tough to make!! Have a look at our pictures below!

Salt dough conducts electricity!

To end our look at electricity, Year 6 made and then tested salt dough and sugar dough for their conductive properties. We discovered that sugar dough is an insulator (which means it does not conduct electricity) and that salt dough is a conductor which means that is does. We had a lot of messy fun!

Y3 Bollywood dancing

  Year three took part in a Bollywood workshop as part of our interfaith week. We talked about Hindu festivals such as Diwali and discussed the story of Rama and Sita. Then we learnt some new Indian dance moves and tried them out in a dance routine.
